Speaking for my Jardine's

Postby lifesazoo33 » Sun Feb 03, 2013 3:33 pm

Hello,
I have recently (July) purchased my first parrot. His name is Fritz and is a Black-winged Jardine's (DNA tested). He will be 2 years old on Feb 15! I purchased him from the pet store I work at. He was the first bird that I hand raised. Even though I worked random shifts which at times were very dispursed (maybe a month apart) because of school, he still bonded with me, and every time I worked, our bond grew stronger. After a VERY long time of trying to convince my parents to let me get him, I was finally allowed!
Now that he is home with me, his true colours have shined through, and he is so much more rambunctious than he ever was before. He loves foraging, and destroys his toys like it is his job!
He has his issues (very un-trustworthy of others) but we are working on them. He also has a keen intrest in my 2 dogs, especially when they play - he watches them and laughs and cheers them on.
I am so glad that he is a part of our family, and now a part of the forum
