I tried to start a thread for rehoming. We have so many members who live within the same state. Some have to give up their babies and others are looking for new ones or would take in those who need new homes.

This could also be a place for oldies like me to put out feelers for when I can no longer care for mine. It would be much easier for me to locate a new home than to dump on my son to find homes for them.

I'm not sure that we'd need a new section for something like this but feel free to make a post. The only thing that is against the rules is trying to use the forum to engage in sale or trade of birds but it's fine to make friends and then make arrangements privately. I just don't want any responsibility in what happens and there's a lot of scammers out there trying to take advantage.

what about a new section for people looking to get their first bird. i feel like i've given the same answer on this alot so it might be good if new people could just click on that section. we all put our opinions and what it takes to care for a parrot on there.

This is a very good point, but I feel that the Parrot Species section should already cover this. Inevitably people are going to otherwise ask there or in Introductions anyway. It's a very common question but a section made just for it would end up only getting used once by an individual. It's not a section for a variety of discussions on the topic.

However, this is a good point and I may end up writing an article about this for reference. If you'd like to start a new topic and help me brainstorm important points, I'd like everyone's input.

Is it really that hard? You can either insert them as a URL (from flickr, photobucket, website, etc) which is the preferred way or upload them as an attachment.
