Forum Ranking System

Postby Admin » Thu Oct 01, 2009 6:16 pm

Hi all!

Some of you may have noticed that a type of parrot appears under the username you have chosen on all of the posts you make, and under your avatar on your profile page. This is called your user rank. User ranks are used to indicate how active you have been on TheParrotForum.com based on how many posts you have made. We have decided to make our user ranks parrot themed. The rank titles have been based on the idea that the more you have posted, the larger the species that your user rank is (this is in general, of course there are exceptions).

The user ranks are titled for number of posts by the following:

Code: Select all
Parakeet                           0 – 9 posts
Parrotlet                          10-24 posts
Lovebird                           25-49 posts
Cockatiel                          50-99 posts
Conure                             100-249 posts
Poicephalus                        250-499 posts
Amazon                             500-999 posts
African Grey                       1000-1999 posts
Cockatoo                           2000-4999 posts
Macaw                              5000-9999 posts
Norwegian Blue                     10000+ posts

This has no reflection on the opinions of kinds of parrots. The ranks are not meant to correlate between intelligence or capabilities. They are simply based on the typical sizes of the parrots in these categories. Remember, different parrots are suitable pets for different people. The parrot rank neither means the person owns or has anything to do with that kind of bird, it is just part of the forum ranking system. These ranks are just for fun and bare no importance otherwise so enjoy.
