Dorian

Postby Pajarita » Sat Aug 31, 2019 9:28 am

Now they say that Hurricane Dorian might turn North and hit North Carolina and I can't stop thinking about Pod and Piccolo, the two birds that ended up in an outdoor aviary there... PLEASE, if you are going to rehome your birds, do NOT put them in a stricly outdoor sanctuary - it's dangerous!

So sorry that you are stressed about your rehomed birds. Surely they will bring them in during Dorian.

No, no, they are not my birds, Liz. They belonged to Dana.

Florida parrot sanctuary considering evacuating its birds... 180 of them! I am telling you, outdoor sanctuaries do NOT work.

Healthy populations can survive hurricanes but not if they are in the brink of extinction...
