Three stories about the same subject. For some reason, people don't 'feel' for birds... not that many feel for other animals either. I mean, look at all the people in the world that actually think that killing an animal is fun - and they teach their children the same lack of empathy they learned themselves from their parents, a terrible vicious cycle.

Asking the public to contact officials in Virginia so an alternative is found to replace the nesting grounds of 25,000 birds that would be destroyed by the bridge project (third link on first posting of this thread).

Idiot man killed a whooping crane, one of the most endangered species in the world, and got away with a slap on the wrist because the protections for birds have been allowed to lapse.
