Asking Thailand to free chained monkeys used for tourism shows (animals should not be exploited for entertainment, it's immoral! - not that USA is not as guilty as any other country of this - well, there are exceptions like Costa Rica, for example)

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... -tourists/

Not a petition but something newly found out that supports the petition for USA to ban neonicotinoid-based insecticides (they had been banned but the Trump Administration brought them back). The news is that it's now been found that it damages the brains of baby bees (no bees, no food for people!).

https://www.zmescience.com/science/pest ... udy-shows/

Ban Angora rabbit clothing (they sometimes shear them every few months -while tied down to a table!- but to get the better hair -more expensive- they PLUCK THEM! - imagine the pain and terror the poor animals suffer!)

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... abbit-fur/

Not a petition but an article asking for donations to help with lawsuits (this one is about 57 MILLION non-native birds released in UK so people can hunt them - why do we persist in allowing the killing of helpless animals as entertainment?!)

https://focusingonwildlife.com/news/def ... title_1120

Petition to ban the release of balloons -as much as I love balloons, releasing them kills animals so enjoy them and pop them.

Petition to ban snare traps in UK (a loophole that bad people are using to kill animals for fur and sell them).

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... -park-fur/

Petition for animal abuse registry in UK (we had it here in USA but the Trump administration got rid of it)

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... in-prison/

Another story of why this registry is needed:

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... ken-bones/

Petition to stop 'speed breeding' chickens in the UK:

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... y-35-days/

Petition in support of the RAWR act (to stop wildlife trafficking)

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... afficking/

This one is about a petition that I already posted - namely, the one to stop experimenting on animals for botox cosmetic procedures. But I am putting this story here to illustrate the HUGE scope of the cruelty: 400,000 animals suffer and die every single year on cosmetic Botox tests alone - FOUR HUNDRED THOUSANDS!!!!

Not a petition but an article illustrating why a ban or a law has no teeth unless it is properly enforced. In this case, the Chinese government supposedly closed down the wildlife markets but they are still working as if nothing had happened! Even after the coronavirus problem they caused!

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... demic.html

Already posted but worth repeating: end whale and dolphin captivity (they suffer sooooo much!):

https://focusingonwildlife.com/news/pet ... title_1120

On why we need to get rid of plastics: new study finds that PBA-free plastics are as harmful as the PBA ones! Please do not use plastic anything: toys, bowls, etc with parrots or, at least, limit it to the minimum and replace often.

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/natural- ... velopment/

Stop paper company destruction of endangered forests:

https://forcechange.com/554903/stop-pap ... d-forests/

Unconscionable!!! Parents teach children as young as four years old to kill defenseless animals - WHAT kind of parent would do such an awful thing?!

Not a petition but a request for donations so they can continue fighting the TERRIBLE fur farms in China (warning, this article has upsetting pictures - at least, they are VERY upsetting to me):

https://focusingonwildlife.com/news/ani ... title_1120

Another request for donations. This one is about how polar bears are turning to cannibalism in Siberia due to global warming and the fossil fuel industry (they destroy their habitats and food supply):

Not a petition, an article about a BBC show uncovering the tiger trafficking crisis (illegal farms).

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... east-asia/

Not a petition but a story about a sweet dog abandoned at shelter because family wanted a smaller one to take on vacation, illustrating why we need a national registry and regular pet ownership, there is way too many people who considers them a disposable possession.

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/news/dog ... -vacation/

Follow up on Welsh fox trapper. He says he 'was born a trapper and will die a trapper' - as if babies were born with different organs, some with a 'trapper' organ, some with a 'rescuer' organ, some with a 'carpenter' organ, some with a 'doctor' organ - ridiculous! It's the lack of empathy they learn from their trapping/hunting/killing parents that does it! An acquired trait, not genetic.

https://focusingonwildlife.com/news/fur ... title_1120

Also not a petition. Dolphins, used to people giving them food, approach boats and get stabbed or shot. People need to understand that wildlife needs to remain wild and wary of people for survival.

https://forcechange.com/555473/dolphins ... e-justice/

Petition to end animal shows in circuses. Footage shows animals desperate to find a way out from the prod, horses with their entire body trembling in fear forced to perform tricks - where there is money and animals, the animals always suffer. No two ways about it.

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... rm-tricks/

Petition to end drilling in Artic - polar bears dens caving in will bury them alive:

Petition: ban electric shock collars - I've never understood how anybody would even consider using such a thing on a companion animal but I guess you can't really go by me because I also think that putting a dog in a cage (aka: crate) is the pinnacle of unnecessary cruelty. Darn, if you can't housebreak a dog without one, you are the problem, not the dog.

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... -ban-them/

Not a petition: did you know that US Marines are made to drink cobra blood and eat tarantulas and scorpions during their jungle training? I did not.

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... -training/

Petition to defend indigenous rights against fuel profiteers:

https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/sig ... estruction

Petition to ban sows gestation crates (soooooo very cruel!!!)

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... -breeding/

Petition: bring down dams to save salmon and orcas:

https://act.biologicaldiversity.org/onl ... id=1643469

Not a petition but a request for donation to help save elephants - story about a baby elephant all alone with legs chained together. There should be laws everywhere that made owning an elephant as a work machine illegal!

https://focusingonwildlife.com/news/bab ... title_1120

Not a petition but an article that supports getting rid of horse racing by The Washington Post:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions ... story.html

Petition for supermarkets to stop selling live lobsters (I always avoid even looking at the tanks because it breaks my heart to see these poor animals in them - I once read that they are not ever fed while in the tanks and that they slowly eat themselves from the inside out - and then are boiled alive!)

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... in-stores/

Not a petition but an article illustrating why we need to do better when it comes to natural preserves and the animals in them. Mohawk, a famous Kenyan lion, was shot to death because they did not have tranquilizers - Sheesh!

Not a petition but a message to Elizabeth Murray, loathsome human being that gets $36,000,000 of our tax money to damage monkeys brains (opens their heads, burns, cuts or vacuums part of the brain and closes it again) and then induces fear in the poor brain damage things just to see how they react - and then she kills them! These government (read tax payers) sponsored cruel and useless experiments on animals has got to stop! They are not learning anything from them, these people are just making money for themselves! (Note: I did NOT watch the video, it would not allow me to sleep for days if I did!)

https://investigations.peta.org/nih-mon ... .id=417457

Petition: groom viciously kicks horse and riders did NOTHING!

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... ching-car/

58 cows dead from 'worst case of neglect officer had ever seen' - brother farmers went to jail after refusing to follow order NOT to have any more animals!

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... ever-seen/

He shot the dog after tying his back legs together, burning part of his ears with some sort of chemical and poured crazy glue into his ears - they rescued the dog, found the guy who did it (he confessed) and charged him. The boy was only 19 years old! This is what you get when you do not teach children empathy for animals, people: psychopaths!

https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsa ... -arrested/

Petition to stop soring (the law passed the House but not the Senate), one of the most cruel practices done to horses nowadays -and that's saying A LOT what with the races, the tourist carriages, the rodeos, etc.

Not a petition but a follow-up to the one asking the Trump Admin not to roll back protections for birds -which they still did. Now, Democratic senators and AGs are slamming this decision:

https://thehill.com/policy/energy-envir ... -roll-back

Asking for donations to help Grauer's gorillas whose population declined 77% in only 20 years!

https://www.fauna-flora.org/species/gra ... me-article

Asking for donations for the Red Panda after a study found that increase in poaching is not linked to higher demand.
