Bird Cages?

Postby 16kimjenny » Wed Jun 05, 2013 6:11 pm

I'm just wondering if there are any good places in Toronto (Canada) where they sell good bird cages?
Also, is $55 too cheap for a bird cage with a stand? (It's 18" x 14" x 27".)

That cage looks quite big for 2 budgies. :/ Would it be because of the toys and they can fly?

Yes. They are active little guys and need lots of room to flit around. Think of how small you are in your house....

This isn't usually as big of a problem with parakeet cages as it is with cages for larger birds, but make sure your final cage selection has horizontal bars instead of vertical on at least two sides so they can climb easily. This maximizes the amount of use they can get out of their home.

It looks big to you compared to their size but its about their activities. They are little balls of energy and need wayyy more room than that. My cockatiels have a massive cage because they are the same but they have lots of out of cage time. 5-6 hours per day.
