The Millers

Postby Munchy » Thu Feb 13, 2014 11:14 pm

I just watched an episode of the Millers. I was so disgusted. They had a blue and gold Macaw who was plucked, and at one point they wanted it to attack one of the characters, so when it flew you could see it's feet were tied together. Don't they have animal people on sets to make sure animals are taken well care of?

Yes, they are supposed to be Animal Cruelty officers in the studio... I think. I know they do this in the movies but I am not sure about TV.

Not sure how it works in your country but over here you can complain about what is shown on TV to a company called Ofcom. Might there be something similar there? Again its one of those things- the more people that kick up a fuss the more likely it is we will see improvements in animal welfare and hopefully changes eventually.
