I really don't know about the rest of you but I am seeing quite a few posts by people trying to sell things like kitchen remodeling , payday loans, kitchen appliences and so forth. It is my opinion that these things have absolutely nothing to do with parrots no matter how far I stretch my mind.

I really wish that I didn't have to open a post to find these ads. I don't understand why these people are not banned from the forum permanently.

Do any of you have opinions on this? Maybe it is just me, I don't know.

I am sure they do get banned, Wolf, but there are so many of them (they get paid per posting) that one of them always shows up...

I notice it a lot, too, but it's just one of those evils in managing a forum website: spammers.

I delete them as soon as I can. I have tough measures for signing up for the forum to weed out a lot of automated systems. But some people are still dumb enough to think that someone will buy their crap if they spam a bird forum, so what can I do but clean it up. There currently are no other active moderators. If someone wants to be on spam cleaning patrol, let me know.

I would do it too, I do log on regularly throughout the day even if I don't post as often as I used to.
