I could not log on for some reason so I came in as Lizz,
I cannot believe what has happened in my little flock. Shadow won Tammy over. Poor Tommy!
Maggie is ignored by both boys but I saw her eating with Tammy. Maggie is like Myrtle as in she will try any food. I have not tried to touch her so she now believes my hands are the givers of food and does not fly away. When I come in from the garden I bring her a little tender green bean. I say her name and green bean and she will come to the side of the cage where I am standing. I then put it on the feeding shelf through the cage.
Winston-Salem animal shelter has a female cockatiel in need of a home. I am thinking of getting her but cannot introduce her to the flock until I can find another male. I have had six in the flock before and they did very well. They even fed each other's babies when I got careless and they created nests. (I won't let that happen again. It hurts too bad to give them up. I was really picky about the home they went into so one was a year old before I let it go.)
