Can't deal with the squirrels--- they will either bury or eat me.

Some riskay shots in here.. I love the image of the squirrel chilling on the steps. great lines and texture. bokeh is nice on some of these too imo..

Of course, criticism are welcome and likely the best way for me to improve at this point.

I tried to get more birds on labor day, but my goodness this is difficult... I found a family of jays that just wouldn't give me a shot... so I took pictures of insects (so much more compliant!)

again, apologies for softness. pics were taken generally with wide open apatures, hand held at 400mm.

PS The bugs were gettin BIZZAY if you know what I mean!!

And now for something quite small indeed.. These two spiders measure roughly 2mm across. If I had a tripod, I think I could really get some good pics of these.. However, in the case of these tiny arachnids, a dedicated macro lens may be necessary..

I do enjoy looking at the pictures. I enjoy them a lot, but even when I can see that some could use some improvement, I am unable to be of any help because I don't understand enough about photography to tell you how to make it better. but I do enjoy them, thanks for sharing them with us.

Great pictures! Better than most of what I take.

You can get AMAZINGLY sharp pictures in the near dark with a tripod, but they are such a pain to carry around. My best pictures are from using a Trekpod--a sort of monopod with feet--and a remote trigger to avoid the shake from pushing the button. The Trekpod masquerades as a decent walking stick, so I sometimes use it for that without the camera. (I don't get any money from them).

Sadly, Corsair never cooperates with pictures. She likes to shove her beak in the lens.

A nearby park has lot of water fowl.. As it relates to ducks, why has the world decided the most adorable creatures be routinely some of the tastiest..? Come to think of it..maybe China is on to something..!

sorry for the noise, I cranked up the iso to get some faster shutter speeds. I really wanted to get splashes!
