There was a rowdy gaggle of geese. They kept fighting over the best spot to dive for mudcrabs. Eventually the least childish one had to break it up.

Heron's live such solitary lives. Even in a park like this one where these birds see plenty of other birds and people, they never let me get very close.

A nearby berry tree hosted a collection of songbirds. I thought certainly this robin didn't intend to eat such a large berry in a single bite.. Well, he sure showed me. What a glutton!

Rounding out the wildlife at the lagoon was a chipmunk. Now these little guys are very very fast and don't typically run out in good lighting. after several minutes of being quite still though, they did come near enough to capture some decent images. I think I took 15 tries at them, came away with only a few that were in focus enough and with no blur.

After returning home it was time for lunch.. Loxley thought so too.. After spilling blueberry mini-wheats cereal everywhere, he brought his prize to Katja, no doubt looking for approval for his "good deed".

Beautiful! I especially like the sparkly sunlight effect on "chipmunk2."

BTW, my previous comments should not be taken to mean that I can do as well, just that I found a single thing that can make a big difference.
