While I do appreciate the suggestion concerning a support group and will bring it up to my Lady, I am pretty certain that she will refuse that option. This is just one of those areas where time is the best thing for her, she wasn't really bad when her Grandmother passed, it just took her a long time to adjust to it. This lady was her best friend and we don't have a lot of friends as we tend to be homebodies. It isn't that we don't enjoy meeting new people, it is more of a thing where we just don't seem to like that many people once we meet them. This could be an issue due to the attitudes that are prevalent in this area. This is Appalachia and a little backwards still.

Well, I don't live in Appalachia and I have the same problem so I think it's more a matter of us not been what you would call 'a bit different' than anything else. Shame you don't live closer...

sorry to hear of all this wolf. Time will help as will taking care of each other and hopefully talking to each other as well. Those are the most important things- just listening to each other. Support groups are really good too like already suggested, maybe if your partner isn't the sort to want to do this sort of thing then if she is a kind caring person (which I'm sure she is) then it could be sold to her the other way- helping others with your experience- which in turn tends to encourage the helper to get their own feelings out there too..

I am so very sorry wolf! That is very sad news. My aunt is going through the same thing, but is stable for now. What a scary thing to go through for everyone involved. Many good thoughts and prayers coming your way.

Deeply sorry for your situation and the loss...
I have also known and lost a few who have had brain tumor/cancer...

I want to thank everyone who has responded to this. I thought that I would be spending even less time here than I did, I came back after my Lady went to Florida to help with her father and just never slowed back down. It helps me to be here as my birds are my main social life. My Lady is going to grieve for a very long time as she only lets it out a little at a tlme.
