Michael
I contacted you to enquire about how to put up an avatar - as i really like them for the same reasons you do - but your kind instructions did not work and i gave up in frustration after fiddling around for some time. is there a way you can tweak the site so that it is easier to add an avatar? I have never had an issue on any other forum or website. :amazon:
parrots arent mere ornaments, and they're hardly "just a pet" they are intelligent and emotional creatures who want our companionship. As a bird owner, its a pleasure to make my parrots lives as happy, enriched and healthy as possible

Ok, people who have a picture they want to use but can't get it saved/compressed properly, just post it here as an attachment or link from photobucket/flickr type of site and I will try to rework and post it back so you can save/upload it as your avatar. Sorry for the strict upload requirements but it benefits all the readers in the long run from having to wait a long time for all avatars to load a long time.

I have another one that actually shows my face but it's still just a quick snapshot with Photobooth.

I need to get my daughter to take some proper photos of me with the birds.

Much better this time. I could probably use a new Avatar myself some time, I'll probably wait till I have two parrots to show with me
