I know that everytime that I attempt to pull up any information on the Louisiana parakeet all I get is information on the Carolina parakeet, which also supports that they are the same species of bird.

I'm still looking to post the original journal article (that these others are paraphrasing in a weird way). Just wanted to let you know I'm working on it, I just had two grueling exams today and the uni was closed yesterday due to ice!

Be back soon with the original source!

Cheers

Ok, so, I can't attach a .pdf. I then converted the .pdf to a series of .jpgs. I couldn't attach those to the post. So, I attempted to upload them to my photobucket and then link them in the post. It failed, something kept going wrong with the photobucket upload. :(

My suggestion: You can let me email it to you. You can PM me your address and I'll send you the .pdf
I really am at a loss for how else to get it on here. I've tried!

I got your pdf file and forwarded it to Pajarita as it seems like we are usually the only ones to take much interest is this type of thing. However, should anyone else decide that they are interested in this pm me with an email address and I will forward the file to you as well.
It has several terms that I am not familiar with so it may take me a little while to decipher it, but I will.

I recommend it. Highly interesting, especially since what they found out is that although parasites and other speciation vectors work against hybrids in birds, this particular virus is the other way around.

Found an article this morning showing a hybrid Rosellas and suggesting that it is more resistant to PBFD than either of its parent species and thought I would share it with you. I really hope that some of you find these thing to be of interest.
