Kakapo ecological niche ?

Found this article; http://phenomena.nationalgeographic.com ... ion-clues/ and thought it to be interesting. In addition to the famed video of photographer getting shagged by a male Kakapo it goes on to suggest a link that the kakapo may have had in the pollination of the very rare Hades flower.
