Wild Magpie

Postby shiraartain » Thu Apr 23, 2015 8:26 am

Hello everyone, I'm busy with exams, but wanted to share this before I headed off again! My mom had a myna during her childhood in the same situation-though it didn't bring back others with it.

Now, THAT's love! They gave the bird the freedom to choose and she is repaying the kindness with her trust and love by coming back to them! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful story!

I shudder to think of the kind of mess an indoor corvid could make, I wouldn't have it!

I'm glad this family decided to take the baby in. Nurturing is so important to corvids and it's the safety and love this family provides that will ensure its a successful member of its species. I hope it returns home for them all its life.

Nice to see you back, Fiero! Long time no see. And yes, you are right about the mess but I don't think it would be any worse than the mess parrots make

I had a raven as a friend for several years until the year that he didn't return, but he was a wild bird that lived outside so I can't say what kind of mess he made. I do remember that he was a kleptomaniac though and if anything small disappeared to check his nesting tree. Don't really remember much else.
