Were they parrot owners already or was this their first parrot? Because I never rehome to anybody who has never had a parrot before UNLESS I know the person from way back, or to somebody who has given up a previous bird unless they did it for what I would consider a good enough reason.

They had had a parrot before. The bird had died.

Then I guess the person who thought they would not work out must have noticed something about them that others did not...

Pepe got adopted today! He is missing a toe from an unfortunate encounter with a chain from a toy, and he is still wearing a collar, but he is happy to be going home. He loves his new mom. She is young like he is, so they should have a long life together!

We have about a half dozen birds leaving in the next few days!

This is Jacob and Jill. Jacob has a sweet little voice. He always says "good morning" and is always telling everyone that "Jacob is a good boy."

Jacob, Jill, and a cape parrot named Archie were all adopted yesterday. (I'll try to find a picture of Archie). I don't know the whole story, but they went back to the people who owned them before they ended up in that hell hole. They were there for boarding, or something. Like I said, I don't know the details, but I'm super happy for these birds, especially Jacob. He is a good boy.

These little beauties went home today. They're splendid Parrots, or something? They're a type of grass parakeets.

Also, a blue streaked lory went home today. I don't know if I have a picture of her anywhere.

You people seem to be able to adopt more birds than other rescues... Do you know why? Is there anything significantly different about yours? Maybe lower prices or a faster process?

Well, right now there are going to be a lot. These Weston birds have been here since Sept 19, but we could only start adopting them out a couple of weeks ago.

But Pepe was not a Weston bird, and we have a few more going out soon who are not.

Our prices are on the website. It's about $600 for a greenwing and the go down from there. I think they try to make it 1/4 to 1/3 of what "retail" would be.
