This is Buddy. He was found on the street. He is about the most plucked bird I have ever seen. He's really messed up. It looks like he may have been attacked by something, or just so terrified to be out on his own.
He is really skittish, but very loving once he settles down with you. I feel so bad for him. I hope he gets better.
Splash was found when he dropped into the water in front of a kayaker on Little Pond. She thought he was a goldfinch at first. He's super skittish and wild-like.
They're all so lovely! I laughed out loud at Snowball. Is buddy responding to Tiki, or is Tiki's attachment one-sided?
One of my sisters fell in love with a bird who was the same species as Hope being sold at a bird store nearby several years back. She was young enough that she spent about two years demanding that we give her a thousand+ dollars to go bring home the bird at the pet store that obviously loved her (in her opinion).
What does the rescue do for birds like Buddy? To stop their bad habits, I mean.
