I wasn't able to stay at the rescue for long, yesterday, because I forgot to take my meds and couldn't breathe. But, Buddy, the badly plucked Goffin was a lot friendlier toward me. He has also started to yell whenever he is in the office by himself.

Bucca, the M2, was dancing and screaming yesterday in a way that only a Moluccan can. The displays are visually stunning. He's just so worked up.

 Yes, nothing compares to a displaying cockatoo! Most people find them quite scary when they do but I find them amazing and beautiful.

I'd say all three are accurate!

He made a few attempts to bite, put a nice hole in a sweater, and made all the other cockatoos in the place, (except for buddy) unmanageable.

I wish I shot a video of him, or of Snowball, the one who dyed himself pink, hopping around at the bottom of his cage in response.

Snowball took a bath, and then decided to play with his new, red toy. He has been pink for days.

The pink dye distributed more evenly, and he's now a pretty even shade of pink. It doesn't seem to bother him. He's not preening extra, or anything.

I took down the link to the newsletter, because it had peoples' phone numbers and such. Here is the write-up.

Our Super Volunteer this month, John - is awesome! He comes in on Wednesdays but also fills in on days when we are short handed, making that long drive from Lynn. You can always count on some good laughs when you work with John, he is filled with jokes and has a great personality! He has been extremely generous in donating all sorts of toys and many other needed items to make our fids happy! He has no problem rolling up his sleeves and getting dirty or even taking on the care of some of our more challenging feathered friends.

John is very knowledgeable and is a proud parront of a green cheek conure named Ocean and also just adopted our special needs Hispanolian Amazon named Tanya.

John always keeps our flock in mind when he knows of anyone who may want to give a forever home to one and places them in touch with us. He keeps our flock safe, if something doesn't look right, he will immediately bring it to our attention.

John - we appreciate you and all that you do! You have made a huge impact on the lives of our flock and all of the volunteers as well. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO!
