I don't know if you knew at the time you posted, but this rescue is the one from which you adopted Santina.

Nina, our blue crown conure, has gone to her home. She is a funny birds who really blossomed after big-boy, the other blue crown conure, was adopted. I guess she was just focused on him, before.

It does help. Yesterday someone was in looking at Hope, the tiny little female Ekkie we have. She has this gentle little voice, she coos and almost whispers. The potential adopter mentioned how quiet she was. I mentioned that she had, perhaps, the loudest voice in the place when she wanted to. I picked her up, and then put her back down and walked out of the room. I knew what she would do. She let out a scream that sounded a bit like a dinosaur with its toe caught in a bear trap. She doesn't scream often, and she doesn't scream for long, but she's more than capable of a single, world-class yell.

Hope is actually so friendly, that it's hard to tell if the potential adopter is developing a rapport with her, or if she's just being nice because she's nice. I do know that I can't really stay in the room with someone if they're looking at Hope, because she just wants to get to me, sit on my shoulder (which I'm not supposed to let her do), and preen my hair and beard.

This is from last week.

My little pal Hope went home this weekend. I'll miss her.

This is Buddy. He was found on the street. He is about the most plucked bird I have ever seen. He's really messed up. It looks like he may have been attacked by something, or just so terrified to be out on his own.

He is really skittish, but very loving once he settles down with you. I feel so bad for him. I hope he gets better.

Buddy is the sweetest bird. He's very affectionate and we are good pals. He went home today. He was adopted by a volunteer.

My pal Marvin went home today. I will miss him terribly. I knew he might be going, so I spent about an hour scratching his head last Wednesday.

Marvin, Hope, and Buddy, all adopted within a few days.

I figured out that my proble, with photobucket is mostly that I'm trying to access it with Safari. I have to remember to switch to chrome when I'm dealing with photobucket.

Here is another picture of Pepe, the mystery Amazon. He is about 7 years old.

Any guesses on the type? A hybrid, maybe?
