lol...My Pois fly a lot. Gaugan weighs 117 gms and Sunny weighs 107gm. They hang on to hanging toys and flap a lot, but they also love to fly. Sunny stays on all the bird toys and playgrounds I made but Gaugan lands on top of cupboards, curtain rods, anywhere she wants and i have to keep my eyes peeled and tell her to get off.....Gaugan is a kind of a brat about doing what she wants and she will do anything she wants when i am not looking....lol.....Sunny on the other hand seems to like to know what the rules are and usually follow them. When he doesnt, for example he goes in Gaugan cage, all I have to say is "get out of Gaugans cage" and he comes right out. Gaugan wont leave if she is in Sunnys cage and she knows i am on my way over to get her, so she takes a last bite of food or chew of a toy untill I get there....lol

When i get up in the moning if hubby is already up and the parrots are out. Gagugan will fly onto my shoulder the moment she sees me. i am sure Sunny would too, but he knows Gaugan would not be happy about it.

Well, all I can conclude is that if the Rickeybird is ever going to win a race, it'll have to be RUNNING... no flying, no jumping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Challenger can pick a carpeted, wood or tiled floor!

Ha! You should see Freddy on the floor! He can walk and even run pretty fast but his real speed is in hopping! My husband cannot run fast enough to get ahead of him when he is in pursuit - that's how fast he can hop!

And, yes, Seagoatdeb, I also think that pois are great fliers. Mine can make a U turn or an S in flight and go through two doorways in what the GPS calls "a tight turn' like if they were flying in a straight line!

The Rickeybird is currently seeking sponsors for his racing career. He is considering Harrison's Bird Foods, Foster & Smith's Pet Supplies, and Hendryx/Prevue cages.
