Dutch, or great-big, comical, big-energy, very talkative, Greenwing went home yesterday. He waited a long time for the right person. He absolutely loves her.

And shane, our quiet, serene, greenwing who loves everyone, will wear a harness, and has acted as our "ambassador" at a few events was adopted. She came in with my birds, Tanya and Nicholas, in June of last year. Shane won't be going far. She was adopted by our facility manager who lives in an apartment in the same building as the rescue.

I think Shane is about 25, confirmed female. Dutch is about 31, DNA sexed Male. They couldn't be more different, and they couldn't be more awesome. So happy for them both.

He's really good with those who he likes. The facility manager cam but a harness on him with no problem, even if it hasn't been done all season. He just has list of people he doesn't like, and he will fly at them and use them as chew toys if we aren't careful.

This field could get deep!!!!

I suppose we should include other track and field events... shot put, weightlifting, broad jump, high jump...
Maybe some indoor events... balance beam, floor dance, rings...

Well, I can't sew... but I'm an artist, so maybe I'll paint him a tiny banner he can hold in his beak whilst he trounces the competition! Or at least until he has to drop it to bite whoever may have beaten him!

Oh, SOOOOO very happy for Dutch and Shane!!! And kudos to the facility manager for adopting such a loud bird living in an apartment (I hope it works out and that nobody complains)

The only other tenant in the building is the rescue. Neighbors are a bar and an auto repair shop. She's good! Shane is actually very quiet. I'm sure she can be loud, it just doesn't happen much.
