Trix went home Monday. It was love at first sight. She loved her new family right away. They are great at reading her. I'm so happy she found a home.

Beep is going home tomorrow! I wish I had a better picture of him. He is a young, beautiful, and very friendly Sun Conure. I'll miss him, but he is going to a great home.

Our Citron Crested Cockatoo, Kiki, went home today.

I wish I had more time to say goodbye, but it took me forever to take her cage apart.

Yesterday we took in a Greenwing Macaw, and a Blue Crown Conure. The BCC is an amazing talker.

It's nice to see an Amazon and a cockatoo get homes. They seem the hardest to place.

Yes, it's the bad reputations they have, poor things! But, in a way, these reputations are deserved because cockatoos are extremely needy and, when unhappy, they tend to pluck and amazons, especially males, can be hell on wheels when hormonal so it's not only a matter of been willing to take these birds in but also a matter of been able to give them the right care -and there aren't that many homes that actually have somebody in the house all the time which is what they require.
