I got home at about 4 am. I threw out my shoes and drove home barefoot. I left my clothes outside. I thought driving home naked was pushing my luck.
There was so much debris, and so many seed hulls, that just after we got the last birds out, the electric heaters kicked on (we had all the doors open) and the building g started to fill up with smoke. Luckily, the volunteer fire department (this is a very small town in far western CT) was on scene to help with the birds, otherwise the whole building would have gone up. Not that it would have been any loss. It will be condemned as soon as it is looked at by the condemning guy. Burning bird seed smells like burnt popcorn if anyone was wondering.
If you ever want to buy from a breeder, I'll share the details I'm sparing you now.
