It has to be like being a POW in a lesser country.

Are all unbanded wild caught ? Myrtle was not banded.

No, just because a bird has no band does not mean that it is wild caught. There are no regulations to band a parrot in this country so many captive bred and raised bird don't have bands.

You can also get a band removed without microchipping your bird.

Actually, it depends on the state. Some states don't have any regulations but others do. In New Jersey, for example, small species don't need to be banded but medium and large ones do or they cannot be sold commercially.

Heaven help the poachers if I find them. I am so old that I have gotten to the point that nothing scares me. I will be looking for them.
