I have added my link to the post that i had made and again here. it took me a while to find a person who was using this technique in a good manner, and when used in a positive manner it is NOT FLOODING! It is one of the best techniques out there and one I personally have used for many years. it is recommended!

My first bird was a green budgie when I was quite young and I loved him. I always wanted a Macaw but my parents (and in hindsight, rightly so) said no. Then in high school we moved and I was sad about leaving my friends. My dad knew I loved birds so he surprised me by rehoming a cockateil that he gave to me. That was Tia. We had no idea how old she was but she was with me for many years and traveled back and forth from University with me. My next cockateil was Sam and he lived 18 years. When he died I felt something was missing in my life but I could not bring myself to get another cockateil. And then I saw Cricket, my green cheeked conure and fell in love (again).

The only thing in common of the two techniques is the fact that a towel is used, Brandon. Michael is showing how to get a parrot used to been toweled (something very useful because it will be needed when they go to the vet or if one needs to examine it in case of an accident, etc) and he doesn't use any flooding methods (he clearly explains that the bird should never be forced to accept the towel). The other technique is completely different in three ways. 1) It's not for toweling but taming. 2) the bird is not gradually inured to the towel (the towel is dropped on the bird whether he likes it or not - and that is, most definitely flooding) and 3) it's not meant to actually benefit the bird but the human (it's used to force a bird to accept human touch at the human's pace and not the bird's). You need to use a towel to towel a bird but you don't need a towel to tame a bird.

i am not Brandon, and I do not use force, and I have done it for taming in much the same way as this video is showing. I have many more years of experience that Michael as well. The title of Michaels video is "How to Towel Tame Parrot - Toweling Truman" That is what I have been talking about towel taming. it is not something you ""have to do" but it is an important tool.it helps with the vet, so it is important for the parrot to be used to towelling so the vet is less trumatizing, although the vet will still be unpleasant. Any parrot i have worked with with towels loves being in towels now so that alone should tell you something.

If she was talking to me then she would be assuming im using towels and also it would prove she has a problem.

It really was just a mistake, please let it go. We all make mistakes from time to time, no one is immune to this. It is not a big deal.

How do you know it was a mistake? Have you been talking to her? Or maybe you still believe she's so sweet she wouldn't do that.Wolf your so quick to judge somebody else but if its Paj you don't.

I may do a lot of things but I do not pass judgements on people although I do make judgements about things. I have spoken repeatedly to Pajarita about how she speaks to people on the forum, just as I have spoken repeatedly to you about your errors and I will continue to do so as long as there is a chance of it helping, but I do not judge you and I will not judge her or anyone else.
There is much more going on than you are aware of as most of the time I use the private messaging for this rather than the forum. I started out with doing it on the forum and have changed it to where most of it is done privately. Yes, I still do a little bit of moderating on the forum especially when there are several people involved and they have already created a problem. I also try to act as just another member sometimes and say as a member to be cool or play nice or something similar rather than being the moderator. I refuse to just be the moderator, I joined to be just another member and to learn more about my parrots and do not desire to give it up. The very day that the other members will not allow me to post as just another member even when I suggest that they play nice together then that is the day that I will no longer be on this or any other forum.
