I am the Data/Web Coordinator for an alumnae association by day (which just means I do web work, broadcast emails, and data maintenance), and a law student by night. I also do freelance bookkeeping every couple of months.

I am a parrot groomer. Macaw to parakeet, i see them all. It's very rewarding job, i get to help people not brave enough to groom their own birds a chance to bond very deeply with their fids, I'm the bad guy

My most common question, "do you get bit alot?" no, i've only been bit twice, once i was not paying attention when first starting out and got my thumb too close to an amazons face, the other a macaw through the towel gave me a good pinch, but no skin breaks! lol

recently i have taken up restringing our macaw toys, we have about 8-11 or so macaws at a time that belong to us, when toys are ruined, i take home all the parts and re-do them.

I am able to bring my birds in to work with me whenever i want, we have a play area for our babies with individual trees. No, I am not worried about contamination/illness. My birds get their own tree all day, and any one brave enough to pick birds up are required to use hand sanitizer before even entering our "petting zoo". Typically I will just warn everyone that my birds will bite. lol ;)

i am going to school for chemistry and am looking to work in a lab setting for animal testing. No, not that animal testing, blood work and pathology type stuff.

I don't know what I am anymore... :?

At the moment I teach part-time at the University and Community College.

To keep things simple, I'm a biologist, primarily invertebrates with a research specialty in behaviour...

But I also have fine arts interests ... and am just a few classes short of a BA. Maybe I'll finish that up when I retire...

I just wanted to let you know that after 4 month on wellfare, I finally found a job!!
I am usually in construction, but with the whole crisis-thing that branch is on his back end right now. So I decided to check out the jobs at the town hall. And voila, they needed someone to advice the civilians on the terms and conditions of builing and assist the people that grant the permits.

I am a mother to 4 boys ages 17 to 27. I am a police officer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. I work with bums alot! So far I met those that have dogs and even one bum with a pet skunk (which ran away) but no parrots.

My husband believes in the bird owner stereotype and thinks I am going to turn into a crazy old bird lady too. Jokes on him......he married me!

I have been a beat cop so to speak for the past few years and I am now working in the sex crimes section......I dont think I could sneak the bird in, however there are enough people at home to keep him entertained. [if he ever gets here that is, still impatiently waiting for him to wean....3 more weeks!]
