Nah.. thats too easy

I know, and I didn't even know that sex was a crime!

Oh and by the way, I was a SAHM for 12 years, I joined the police force at 40!!! So kudos to the SAHM you are the most valuable asset to society, we could use more! I meet kids from all walks of life and sadly not enough parents at home to guide them...

Wow, well kudos to you for starting a new career at that point in your life!

I can't believe I never saw this thread! Lots of really cool jobs so far... I am a professional stupid-questions-answerer. Haha, but really I'm a concierge/hostess/phone answerer/secretary at a fancy cinema/restaurant combination. I do that about 25-30 hrs a week, and am a junior in college full time as well. Majoring in psychology, then gonna get a Master's degree in school counseling!

I just spotted this thread as well!

My work that allows me keep my "zoo" fed is as a Disability Manager, helping people working in the school boards who have become injured or ill to obtain the services they need to be able to get back to work. This includes Teachers, Custodians, Teacher's Aides, Computer Techs, etc. It allows me to talk to people all day, I really enjoy what I do (though I still have days I would rather spend with Merlin and my boys).

I also volunteer with youth soccer(football) in town, and used to coach until my boys decided to move on to other sports. Now I get more time with my Fid! Yay!

This is a fun thread! :D

I am an alternative fashion buyer for a Chicago Alt lifestyle shop that has been open for 30 years. To clarify, I travel to Las Vegas and London twice a year attending various trade shows, selecting accessories, clothing, footwear and home goods geared specifically towards Punk, Goth, Rockabilly, Biker and all other sub cultural fringes! I studied Fashion Design at SAIC here in Chicago, and worked for and ran a few clothing labels here and there. I also am directly responsible for all visual displays and merchandising within the 40,000 sq ft store, I design Steampunk and Post Apocalyptic jewelry for the store's wholesale line, and sometimes model for the store's website and advertisements. My work day usually runs from noon to 9pm, with a couple of short days thrown in for my sanity.

I have adopted or rescued every single one of my animals, and volunteer at a local no kill/no cage cat shelter when time allows. My job there is rehabilitating the neglected, abused, and feral cats so they have an equal chance at a new and happy life in a forever home.

I am 30 years old and share my home with my boyfriend Noel and my pets; Senegals Mokey and Wembley, Zebra Finch Cecil, Boston Terrier Tilly, Beagle/Dachshund Dorian, and African Pygmy Hedgehog Hans. Hee hee!

That's a cool occupation! I'm a sometimes jeweler too, although Steampunk isn't really my thing... and I think there is at least one other jeweler lurking around here. She's not lurking, I just discovered her jewelry page when I was looking at posted photos!

Yeah, Steampunk jewelery can tend to be very repetitive and un-inspiring (example etsy) but we cast our own original molds and stay away from all the clock parts, haha! The current apoc line has a big variety of bird skulls in it (think Mad Max meets a mad scientist or taxidermist), so I'm pretty excited to launch it! It would be cool if we had a marketplace thread-- I read that you had really cool feather jewelry ideas too! But that's enough of that, I don't want to derail the thread! :)

Taking a year off school...worst mistake ever!

It sucks when all your friends go off to University, and you are trapped with your parents.

Counting the days until I hit the road to Lakehead University!

I am in the dairy industry...that is, I put cheese in a shredder in a factory :? . I work afternoons 3-11, which sucks in a way because I don't see Akilah in the evenings but I get to spend a good 4-6 hrs with her in the morning, and cover her and say goodnight when I get home. Her cage is in my bedroom, but I don't suppose sleeping time "counts" like it does with dogs :P .
