I forgot to mention: consider putting a roof that extends a number of inches on each side on the aviary - don't forget there is a lot of PBFD among the wild birds in Australia.

Hey guys. my dad and I looked at some products today and looks like it will be cheep enough to do.
He'll be on the side of our house where he can't be seen except by our neighbors - we are enclosing half the porch area for him (as well as extending it)

I'll be bringing him in at night still, and its up high (second story house) which he will have an undercover section in as well.
I can spend more time with him now that I've got my own space. So all is good

Great ! now, I don't want to be a downer for this project, as you clearly need this to go forth into reality, but some materials are a health risk for your bird and can make it seriously ill or even be fatal. Due to this would you please submit a list of materials to be used in this project so we can make suggestions to help prevent these effects?

I am excited for you both. I want an outside aviary but being an over protective mom, I want to build it against the house with a window open so they can get in if someone tries to take them or they get scared of something.

I'm about to post over in Housing his aviary. And an update on his well-being over in Parrot Tails.

He's a happy baby, and I'm his happy Mumma and I couldn't be gladder that the last three months have (finally!) passed without any major negative effects on him, and that we are in good routine again, and can look forward to the future together.
