Rate and Review your parrot products!!

Postby Chantilly » Fri Jan 01, 2016 12:02 am

So I thought this would (mabye) be a good idea, to rate certain products that your bird either loves or hates or how helpful or unhelpfull it is. It might help others see (although all birds are different) what things will be mostly appreciated. I am just going to start of with a bunch, which i will post a link or picture for so you can see what it is :)
Rope perches:
http://www.amazon.com/Booda-Comfy-Mediu ... ooda+perch or http://www.amazon.com/Caitec-Paradise-S ... dise+perch
Tilly loves both of these and with all her other perches they are definately her favourites. on the spiral one she will go around and around in circles form the bottom to get to the top, wich is pretty cute      .
Wooden Toys/perches:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Natural-Wood-Tr ... AerR38PP_g
This is one of Tillys favourites! She sleeps up on this of a night huddled against the cotton string. Mine is a little bit diferent an dosnt have the beads (its just wood and rope) and it looks wider.
Bath tub:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Leaf-shaped-Boa ... B00KBVN7SK
Tilly does not use this at all! She pays it no intrest and wont bath in it. (She has her usual bath in my cupped hands under low pressured running water). She certainly dosnt like this bath tub.

Also: if your parrot likes the Leaf bath tub please say so! Mabye Tilly is just a wierd bird. Please show me your birds favourite toy/perch or cleaning products, foot toys (whatever) and the one it just dosnt like! Thanks :)

I have three of these http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/p ... atid=16514 Harley and Marley, budgies, like theirs, Keeta and Rajah like theirs and Kiki, Senegal likes hers.

Birds are funny when it comes to bathing, some like being misted, sort of like being rained on, some like to bathe under a faucet, I guess this would be like a waterfall effect, some like a large deep dish to wade and almost swim in, while others want a very shallow pool of water suitable for wading in. You pretty much just have to experiment with sizes and depths of the bathing container as well as the color as some will only use containers if the are of certain sizes, shapes and colors. You just never know which it is going to be until you find it and for these birds nothing else will do or so it seems.

Thankyou, yes Tilly will even say when she wants to bath by flying to a sink (she knows that water comes out or taps) and she also likes the water to be a certain pressure, or she will not bathe!

I use the boodas and sweetfeet perches - the rest are all natural tree branches. For water in the birdroom, I use cake pans like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Norpro-9-Inch-Sta ... +cake+pans
or the SS bowls the cage might bring - same thing for the food in the cages while the birdroom birds use either a cardboard tray (like the ones that bring the canned dog or cat food) or a paper plate tray like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Fox-Run-Paper-Pla ... te+holders
with a white, disposable paper plate on them.
