They have antibiotics there and hopefully someone who can help you through this.
Just like Wolf and Paj, they research when they don't have an answer.

Chantilly wrote:Thankyou everybody, we are actually going to a stockfeed shop today (lizards need more worms), so i will look for the antibiotics (it is different to the wormer isnt it?) and see if they know anything of the illness, also i will do some searching on the topic. Thanks :)

Yes, they are two completely different things. Wormers are parasiticides, not antibiotics. If they don't know about the exact illness, ask for the best wide spectrum antibiotic they have.

I am not sure but terimyacin used to be the most common broad spectrum antibiotic available in a water soluable form for chickens. I did not have chickens per se back then I was raising rabbits for Pel-freeze. The were the largest distributor of rabbit meat at the time, but that was almost 40 years ago.

Hello, I'm very sorry to hear about your sick chickens. I can help out a bit when it comes to where to get the antibiotics perhaps. There are a few different types available that we carry in our exotic bird store and I have successfully treated single birds as well as my flock with them. There are instructions for type each use on the container. The brand we carry can be ordered online from:

You can find them all at morningbirdproducts.com/products.html

I treat with probiotics once the antibiotic treatment is complete as well in order to replace all the good bacteria in the digestive track that the antibiotics have killed off. (This is mainly because my Amazon has digestive issues and I found it a necessary part of her treatment or the little thing is miserable for months.. strange)

I hope you find what is causing the sickness in your flock, and send my best wishes your way,

JennyBoo
