I don't think it is that anyone is wishing for them to not be viable, I could be wrong. I think they are trying to share with you why hatching inbreed eggs can be a problem as well as what some of the problems could be and why we need to be aware enough of our animals to be able to prevent the breeding in the first place of them when they are too closely related so that these problems do not become an issue.

Anybody want my idea?
I am hoping it is like the RH factor in pregnancy. I am negative and my husband was positive. I was able to have one baby safely but needed medication to keep the second baby from poisoning me.

My sister is a dog breeder. This has caused some trouble between us. You all know how I feel about breeders. She would breed anything with papers just for the money in it. She went on vacation and left me to deal with a mom and pups she left at the vet's. I did not care what she thought about it. I took care of them. I claimed them. I did not give them back. We had to bottle feed the pups around the clock since we got them before we got Mom. One died and it had seemed to be the strongest. We don't know why he died.
The surviving pup is Jasmine. I really hated that dog for the first year. She could not be house broken. Even though we had a dog door and other dogs trying to help she did not learn to do it while she was outside. She was 2 before she learned to go down steps into the yard.
The mom is Chloe. While rubbing her belly one day I noticed that she had deformities. She passed the problem on to her daughter is probably why she had a learning problem.

You have to try with the eggs but if they hatch you will have a problem. You will have to find special homes with good humans caring for them with a promise not to let them breed. A deformity could exists that is not visible.

I think the others are really trying to give you a mind set on this problem so you will not suffer a let down if they are deformed. They are really thinking of you more than the critters. Be thinking now where you can find homes for them before they hatch.

Also, I would separate the mother and father siblings before they can procreate again.

Thankyou everyone. I feel bad not to let these eggs a chance, but we have decided to stop incubating them.
As much as I would love to see them hatch, I see it could/would be cruel. And I never actually wished to get into breeding anyway, and really, I doubt many people would be able to give them the care they need, even if they wernt deformed. I also think they were dehydrated, although we added plenty of water a day, they were looking pretty dead.
It feels wrong to not allow them a chance at life, but mabye a life would be wrong. Hatching them would of been selfish in a way.
Thanks again all. I dont know how to separate my two at the moment. Mum dosnt want me buying a second tank, and I dont have room in my room, so I either ask Mum&Dad if we can build a nice outside cage (doubt that will be happening.. and mites and predators would then be a problem.) or sell one of the two.

The eggs did not seem right. You can candle them for your peace of mind. They probably are not fertile.

How big is the tank? If it's big enough, you could probably make some kind of divider to put in there.

The minimum for 1 adult beardie. 90x60x45cm
I only wanted 1 but my sister said 'she wanted one too'. I had been reasearching them for a year and bought my own $300 tank and heat rock and my UVB reflector & globe for my to be princess I told her that she didnt really want one but she said she did and that she'd buy a tank and everything.
When we got home she said she didnt really want one and that she had juat wanted to get me a 'spare', I couldnt beleive it. You dont buy a 'spare' animal, especially not if you arent prepared to care for it when it is not needed. Pluss after lots of research and picking a nice healthy one, mine would be stuck with competition. I was so.. annoyed ( <- I am being nice in saying that). But I love them both now anyway so.
Anyhow, Mira is 30 cm long,
Marley is 38cm long.
Do you think I could do a dividor temporarily until they are a bigger, I dont want to stunt their growth, but her being in with him has done just that.
The 90cmx60cmx45cm is large enough for 1 full grown adult which should be 50-60cm. Thankyou for that, its a great Idea!

I use a flashlight with a coffee lid on top of it with a hole just a little smaller than an egg. A fertile egg will show blood spots after a few days.

Since I rarely use the metric system I tend to get confused with that type of measure, but it really doesn't matter for my purposes anyway. You said that limiting the space will stunt their growth and I understand that as these are not the only creature that is affected in this way.. With the cost of another setup not to mention the space requirements, it does seem that a temporary divider would be the answer for now. but like you I am concerned with stunting the growth of each of them. What about dividing the cage horizontally instead of a vertical divider that way one is above the other and still has the full length and width of the tank?

I also think that even if it is a bit uncomfortable or inconvenient, you still need to find a way of separating them. Don't they have a place where people sell used stuff? Maybe you can find an inexpensive tank there that would work out - or maybe you can use some other type of container, like a plastic storage one... it might not be the ideal but if it's temporary, it should work out, no?
