I have a similar problem. Fajr transitioned to sleeping on a perch because of his injury, and now even moving in my sleep will solicit an anxious "trr" from him, which wakes me up (moreso because it shoots though my conscious immediately than because it's loud).

OP, I have a Polly's love nest, I believe it's called. Still need to watch for strings, but less dangerous than a happy hut. It doesn't fit his tail, though, so he stopped using it after he grew up a little. I'm going to try putting it back in.
