That's a young bird. Looks like the tail still has the dark edges? If so, those are the first tail feathers.

No way to tell male or female without a dna test. Not even behavior can help in a bird that young.

His eyes still almost black so for sure this is the first feather. Still baby :gray:

Well, i know it must be DNA Test, but there is no test here. Some people said that u can usually know the sex throught the shape of the face and the eyes or u can also know through the behaviour.

They always tell me that my old parrot Smoky is a girl because she always byting me even if i am very kind with her.

Here is where I start trying to post some more of the pictures that Mina sent me for us to see. They were in a different format so if this works then Mina will still have to tell you what is what. with them. If this does not work I will try something else.

Ok, I have posted 5 more pics out of 20, I can see them just fine, but I placed them in one drive which is the cloud and I don't know if you can see them or not. If you can then let me know and I will post them in groups of five for your viewing pleasure. Then we can all say thank you Smokey and new bird for posing for the photo shoot and to Mina for sending them our way. What a deal, just can't beat it.

Thank u Wolf, i can see them.

They r all for Smoky and as u can see he or she doesnt have a tail he always eat it. May be he wants a new look :D or he/she doesn't like the red color. He/She also eats the feather at the end of his/her leg.

Any idea boy or girl :/ !

I think girl as she always byte me, but she is kissing my father when ever she saw him or heard his voice.

They're beautiful. I love greys. A lot of it is time zone. Many of us are in different time zones than you, so we might take a while to respond.

It is possible that there is some dietary deficiency that is causing Smoky to eat his feathers. But it is also possible that it is due to stress or even boredom, without knowing more it is nearly impossible to say. does he eat the whole feather or is there much of them left? this link will show you why I am asking this question.

Please be patient with people, many of them have to go to work or school or may have other duties and responsibilities to take care of before they can take time to visit the forum. I assure you that it has nothing to do with them liking or not liking your birds.

Ok here are the next set of the pictures.

The last one is a video and I am going to have to work on that one as it would not post this time. I have a few things that I need to do for now and will try with the video later.
