Passed Away :(

My Uncles Cockatiel passed away today, He was out in the garden enjoying the sun and must have been attacked his wing was broken and a hole right through the bone tissue.He was operated on and died through it.The poor thing, Mango probably didn't know what was going on.The nerves in the wing were gone and they said if they amputated it he would probably die from shock so I guess that happened.

I couldn't imagine if that was any of my birds.The kids are only young too very sad they lost their only pet.

This is just plain terrible news. I know that this is very early, but are there any plans to get another bird? Was the bird n a cage outside? There are a lot of missing pieces. I am sorry for this little one's passing and do not mean to sound rude or like I don't care because I do care very much and that is the reason for my questions.

I guess in a round about way, I am wondering if proper precautions had been taken that might have prevented this tragedy and if not am wondering if you might be able to help them to know and use the proper precautions in the future if another bird is in the works.

They don't want to get another and they gave me the cage.Yes he was out in the cage just enjoying the sun.
