Hello,
Smart move. Because it may sound harsh but in reality such parrots released out in the wild have a hard time surviving. Such parrots meet up with others, mate and become invasive species. There are non - profit services which provide sanctuary for such rescued parrots like the parrot Sanctuary. And if you find any injured bird or animal which need rehabilitation try with Hawkeye, a wildlife relocation service (http://www.hawkeye.ca ). :)
