I came across what to me is a very unusual rescue that took place in Australia. This has absolutely nothing to do with parrots it is all about one little frog who was run over by a lawn mower and the extraordinary efforts to fly it to what may be the only frog hospital in the world to save its life. There may be other frog hospitals but then I don't know of any, but I did not know about this one.

Any way I wanted to thank this animal lover and all of those involved in saving this frogs life, it give us all a little more hope that people are beginning to really care about our world and the other creatures that share it with us.

That was a wonderful rescue.

For those that don't know, most zoos have a wildlife rehab center with a vet on call. While volunteering I learned that you can being any wild critter to them for help. There are some very good people who pick up the injured and take them for help. I have seen turtles with multiple pins in his shell to hold him together. There was a turtle named Pug who did not have a top to his mouth or nostrils. All he had was his eyes. Those who made complete recoveries were sent back to their home aria. The others were helped and given a permanent home in the rehab center.

Thanks to the caring people, bloody critter were given a chance to survive. I have rescued and rahabed quite a few on my own. Most were babies. I went on a "wild goose chase" with a laundry basket. I did not know what was wrong but that something was wrong. It turned out that the bird had fishing line wrapped around and imbedded in it's legs. It required antibiotics as well as surgery to save it. After a month I got a call that it was ready to go home.
