If you read the rule you can see for yourself what I am speaking of, and I don't like it either. I did not scold anyone nor did I say that she was in violation. But I could be over ruled on my choice which is what I wanted the OP to understand. I am trying to say that if there is any doubt ask first, at least until I can get the rule reworded and or clarified so that it is not so ambiguous.

You comments will prove helpful to me in accomplishing this, so please keep posting them. Thanks.

For anyone that does not know what rule # 8 says here it is:

8. No advertising, commercial use, or spam. Administrator and moderators have final say in what is considered advertising. Selling or exchanging live birds, cages, or parrot supplies falls under this same category and is not permitted. For the safety of buyers, sellers, and birds alike, the forum does not permit or facilitate any transactions between members or posting of classified ads.

I do believe that it needs clarification concerning posting about birds that require rehoming. While I try to be considerate and understanding in this regard, I do try to notify the poster of the rule, in case I am over ridden. Which is all I did.

I did read it , lighten up wolf I was just kidding about being scolded . I understand how the rules are put into place to keep the commercial aspect out of it and the scamming stuff. It's nice to be able to read and comment without having to worry who's real and who isn't. BW PS. I haven't got through this whole site yet , is there a place for people to look for homes for there birds ? If there was it would be hard to keep the scammers and flippers off of it. ( I've seen it all. ) makes me sick. BW

Then I apologise for thinking that you were serious about the scolding thing, having just the printed word to go by, makes it hard to tell sometimes. I guess we could add to this that this one rule has been the source of more than a few disagreements about how I deal with it, so maybe I am a bit too touchy about it. Geez, I really hope not!

I can't even satisfy myself with this rule. I am sure that I am breaking it or bending it regardless of what I do.

You will learn my dry sence of humor, after all I have to keep one so I dont go postal on people when I get another starved and abused bird dropped on my door step. Just like the brownies I teased you with. I still haven't figured out where the pictures of everyone's birds are. BW

I hope that you can see them now. No matter what the problem may be as long as we can talk about it, we can make it better. I won't give up and if I need to find another photo program that will allow me to post your pictures so that you can see them, then I will do whatever I can to make it right.

I started a thread titled Rehome. I thought the topic would help those who need to and those who want another bird or are willing to foster. I don't know where it is but it was used about a month before it went to oblivion.

We are learning each other's personalities and how they treat their little beings. To me a bird in need stands a better chance for a good rehome because we already know the humans.

I have a thread for Rambo and Myrtle then added the flock. When I am gone most will still be here. If they can't be absorbed by my kids then I want them to contact the forum. You know the personalities and if you can handle one or more of my birdies and even know which ones to ask about.
