this is exactly what I was getting at , a close network of like minded bird lovers that will and can step in when the need arises. I have a small group around me with mostly rescues and we babysit and visit( including the birds) and help each other with whatever arises. My kids know how I feel about the birds and there is money put away for there needs , and a contact list. But when unplanned things happen usually the best laid plans get messed up. At least on here everyone gets to know each other and individual birds and who knows maybe some day there will be a section just for this situation on here for members that are some how vetted. B.W.
