Update on fids, Rickey had a growth on her face that was removed last week and sent to pathology. No word yet , sure seems if it's not one thing it's another. The good thing about the visit is her blood work came back perfect , the doc said it can't get any better. We've had her approx. 3 years now and she has had 3 panels each one improving. Also just was contacted by a lady that wants me to babysit her umbrella while she goes through chemo. I know better I have my hands full as it is. hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and is well. BW :D

Thank you! I had a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope you had one, too! And I hear you! I will be making an appointment for Sophie because I have been noticing something weird going on with her right eye and I want to find out what it is. Keeping my fingers crossed for Rickey!

BIRD WOMAN NEEDS RESCUING FROM THE RESCUE! :o god I'm so sore from all of Nigel's bites. I can take a lot of pain but dam this is out of control. Right now Nigel is calmly sitting in my lap helping me with this post, looking so sweet you'd never guess in a few minutes and I'm surely going to get lambasted. I don't loose my temper( ever) and tell him no no gently but if I shake my finger and say no it also gets bit :( He flys and 3 times has flown at my face and missed (, thank god) all day he's on the run , him and my big mollucan Rickey who is now my champion protector. They play chase all day and if I go into the bird room he chases me until Rickey comes to my rescue. I don't run from him but keep turning circles so he can't sneak bite me from behind. I took all the mirrors away and his hidey holes and keep him out of the spare room but if I turn my back for a second him and Ricky disappear into the came room playing grab ass. This is the weirdest situation I've ever incountered. I'm almost at the point of just keeping him separated from the rest of the gang until he thinks his whole world is me. When he bites its bad. I've really tried to run his extra energy down with long water fights with the rest of the birds and dancing which he loves , toy balls etc. little boy is wearing mom out! He really throws huge tantrums when he doesn't get his way , beak slamming on the ground over and over with his head twisting wildly and Mohawk straight in the air while he prances around like he owns the place. I have never shown any fear but my husband has and does. Well here we go! Rickey just jumped on the back of my chair and Nigel slammed his face on my foot, so I went to put my foot down and he didn't want off so the shoe got bit. Gotta go

Sounds like a jealous hormonal bird to me, Patti.

You think  solar schedule, lean cuisine and a bit of alone time is what's on the menu for a bit  I sure wish the people would talk to me about him but there supposably still to heartbroken to contact me. bunch of BS. I would just like to know if this is why they got rid of him and what was going on when it started or if this is a product of being passed around? Well this is going to be a difficult one but I'm down with it . Well as long as I don't croak from loss of blood first. My face is still bleeding and it's been 8 hours now. Can't wait to get picked on at work Saturday! :violin:

Do you have any doubts that his aggression was, indeed, the reason why he got given up?! Of course it was! And, if you ask me, they are not contacting you because they don't want you to tell them they have to take the bird back!

They wouldn't get Nigel back anyway, he might be a tough nut to crack but I'll get-Er-done! Going to get back to basics today , switch things up and one on one out in the pool house after I get it warmed up out there. He's never been out there yet and I do have a cage and training perch and mini house set up , so I thought a new atmosphere might help with the attitude and dominance thing. Ramos pm'd me with a link to a full set of fencing gear   maybe not such a bad idea , better than wearing a mop or a broom on my head like pajirta suggested , a picture of that would go viral on the Resturant web site and I'd never live it down :violin: BW

Maybe you could give him a job cracking nuts for the restaurant and make nut pastries to the menu.

Just like the kids and the fids , if it looks like work then no thanks! so far so good , no bites but today will be a challenge with the hubby home. He can undo what will take me to weeks progress with the fids in just a matter of a few hours. Even Lilly my gentle wall flower wants to eat him today.( I was late) he has no patients and needs to just not let anyone out until I get home. Pajirta I roared up at Nigel the last time he tried to pull his freight train bumm rush move on me. Guess what he just follows me around like a submissive puppy now. I just watched how Rickey has been dealing with him , she's the only one he won't go after and THE scary monster thing put him in check. We will see how long this lasts  probably till I drop my guard and get ate up again. BW
