No, they don't do that test on birds (you can't fast them), they just measure the amount of glucose on the blood when they do the chem panel.

The last seizure Mathew had was very mild , gives me hope . He has another appointment on the 6th for further testing. Banner day so far with the Huie and Mathew horror show !!! I let the 2 of them sleep together last night in Mathews cage and when I let them out for breakfast there was absolutely no aggression towards me. I was able to change waters and papers and Huie never once tried to act like he wanted to kill me. Maybe that is the key to all of this, but I'm going to get a much larger cage for winter and try real hard to get the new bird room set-up. Just a little note about my flock) my favorite time of the day is when they all start there calls and I can close my eyes and pretend I'm in the wild. Buddy's call I'm sure was used in that jerasick park movie ( his species) all those little dinosaurs that were in that compound. His call sounds just like there's  It's sooooo cool :P BW

That's great! My CL doesn't even have any SS cages for sale - and I know this for a fact because I am one of those pain in the necks that flags all the time!

I flag all breeders and that includes any and all species that were bred so they can sell the babies. But I also flag people who are asking too much for their animal (I HATE it when they put something like: "I paid $.... for it and I am trying to recoup some of the money I spent"), the ones that are looking for a stud or a dam for their animal so they can breed it, the ones that are offering super exotic species (like monkeys, for example) and the obvious scams (like offering a macaw in NYC's CL but the phone number they give is in Texas).

While I do remember that topic, I don't recall if it was me who said that it was a strange hobby or if it was someone else. I don't have enough time to mess with them, I just delete them if they are on this forum. But regardless, strange is not the same as bad and we all probably have strange hobbies depending on who is looking at our hobbies.

Well, I don't 'mess' with them, I just flag them. And, periodically, I post reminding other flaggers that birds are in overpopulation and exploited just as much as dogs and cats and that breeders should be flagged.... people don't usually realize that birds get abused, neglected and exploited just as much as any other animal.
