Toucan Nation

Postby Wolf » Fri Aug 26, 2016 6:59 am

I wanted to post this topic yesterday, while it was still fresh in my mind, but was not doing very well so I did not post it.

The evening of the 24th I stumbled across a show on TV entitled Toucan Nation, it proved to be a documentary film about Gracie, a toucan that was attacked by teens in Costa Rica and had the top portion of its beak removed during the attack. The film went on to show the beak that was made for the bird, which was fantastic enough in itself, but the main push was for the changes in the laws in Costa Rica to protect all animals and how this incident triggered marches to prevent such things from occurring as well as the global effect from this incident.

If you did not see this film, I highly recommend that you do if you get a chance to do so. I believe that it was on the Animal planet channel.

Wolf are you okay? Anything I can help with? I saw that documentry quite some time ago and cried my eyes out. It was such a fantastic thing , building the new beak . Kids and people can be so cruel, cold and uncaring. Empathy and compassion seem to be less and less a normal part of the make up of the human psyche. Everything today I fear is looked upon as an in adament object and a possession. Adults better understand these kids are going to be the ones controlling the world someday when there old and grey .
