May I show off my mice?

Postby Emily » Mon Jan 16, 2017 2:05 pm

Hi, I was wondering if I could show off my mousies as the only pet I currently have is a mouse. One has passed away and the other I just got a couple days ago. Is that okay?

I had a pet white mouse as a child. I gave a talk on pet mice at school as part of an English lesson and took her in to show. She was called Snowy.

I'm already in General, right? Or did you mean making a new post?

And thanks, I love my mice so much :)

My first mouse was Mitya. He was most likely a runt and only lived to about 4 and a half months, but he was a very happy and friendly little guy while he was around. He's the brown one.
My current mouse is Mr. Gerald Nibbles, so he can be called either Gerald or Mr. Nibbles as I liked both names. He's a naughty boy! He lives up to his name and nibbles everything, including people. He's a lot bigger than Mitya and much more active, probably because his body is stronger. He's the white mouse.

My son had a Rottie mixed 65 pound dog named Dakota. My daughter had a white rat named Sonnet. I saw Dakota beside Sonnet's cage crying. When I looked at what was going on Sonnet had her little hand out of the cage asking Dakota for a hand out.
The night before I had amused myself by walking Dakota to his food bowl and taking one piece of dog food to Sonnet. It kept us all busy for about an hour. The next morning she was asking him for more and he cried because he could not do it.

When it was mating season for the Hermit Crabs he wanted to and she did not so she clunked him on the head to get her thought threw to him. Dakota knew they were fighting and stayed by their tank crying until I broke it up.

Don't even get me started on the Scorpion or ferrets.

Over my years I have had most of the small furries. My best ones were the Gerbils. When a mouse or rat gets loose they become rodents and that includes hamsters. Only one hamster did not follow the pattern. When he got out he would go to the nearest person to play. When my Gerbils got loose they looked for me or just hung around their cage.

On the small furry front.
I had mice as a child and guinea pigs.
My children had fancy rats and guinea pigs and chinchillas.
I had a french lop called Pierre Lapin and the children had a black rex rabbit and a dutch rabbit.
OH had siamese gerbils and chipmunks.
Until recently I had two Richardsons ground squirrels.
