chiming clocks

Postby alienlady » Wed Jan 18, 2017 6:06 am

I was winding up my old pre war chiming clock when it occurred to me that although Liseth mimics the winding noise , in decades of having birds not one has ever mimicked the chimes. Curious methinks. :macaw:

Kanga does the alarm clock really well.
He used to do the doorbell till we changed it. That drove the dogs mad and us.

For some reason my Cockatiels respond to the music on Law and Order. There is one place that they think they need to answer.

Hmmm, that is interesting because mine learned all the 'bad' noises - microwave, cellphone ring and, worst of all, the beep beep beep the fire alarms do when the battery is going low.

I'm curious whether anyone has a bird that does mimic clock chimes. The more I think about it the odder it seems. Probably just me  . How ear piercing for you Pajarita !

Last night Delilah decided she wasn't tired and started playing with her electronic baby crib toy. At 12:00 woke me up clear on the other end of the house , when I went into the bird room and got under her cover to shut it down she started saying peek a boo . Then she started singing the bird in the circle song one of the many this toy plays. Talk about annoying , she's never done that before. guess I'm going to keep it off auto she's smart enough to figure it out the first time how to get me out there.
