parrot proofing speakers

I can't complain because I think I've been lucky .The only thing that Liseth has chewed is the grill on my record player speakers. They were on the wall so must have been inviting, I've moved them and she doesn't bother now.
Firstly I need to repair them but after that does anyone have any ideas how to parrot proof them please?
Any ideas will be most welcome

You didn't warn me that there are so many, now I don't know which to buy !

Spoke to OH and he suggests 14 -16 gauge weld mesh wire for an Amazon. 16g is finer and easier to cut.
It would need to be far enough out from the chewable stuff to keep her off it or fine enough gaps to stop her getting her beak in.

You could also cut up the wire off old cage if you have got any to use and paint it black with non toxic paint if it needs cheering up.
A couple of old fireguards are another possibility.

We have found an angle grinder is easiest for cutting stainless mesh. Then file any sharp edges off.

You can also get patterned metal mesh in panels that would look good from B&Q.
Its near the tubing and angle iron sections in our B&Q.
