This is an article on a study done on babies but I thought it was interesting that they proved that there is reasoning before speech as the scientific tenet has been -until now- that it was speech that made us reason -and thus, 'superior' beings. My point being that not all parrots talk cognitively but that doesn't mean that they are not thinking and reasoning.
