AWA not covering birds

Postby Pajarita » Fri May 04, 2018 9:29 am

The American Anti-Vivisection Society and Avian Welfare Coalition have filed a complaint with the Supreme Court alleging that USDA has not put out rules and regulations covering the welfare of birds not bred for research as they had promised to do when they first put out AWA [Animal Welfare Act].

Now, let's see if we can finally get some regulations for breeders and stores but, most likely, PIJAC will put a lot of money in a campaign against it and the poor birds will continue to suffer.
