Incubator bird project

Postby Pajarita » Tue May 15, 2018 9:18 am

Read about the project to get rid of all the rats in the island where the incubator bird lives and about this incredible bird itself as well as the other species that use the heat of a mound of rotting vegetation to incubate their eggs [a tidbit to whet your curiosity: they have sensors in their beaks that tell them when its' too cold or too hot in the nest and they adjust the temperature by adding or removing material -is that amazing or what?!]
