I got a almost 6 week IRN. When i put him back in his tub he burrows his head under his stuffed bear an kicks all his bedding out behind him. i mean the bedding goes flying around..lol. and then stops when his head is burried. is this normal? sorry for all the questions. we are noobs at this

African Greys do that and it is perfectly normal but I don't know about IRNs. Are they ground foragers?

Every Indian Ringneck that I've ever handfed has done the same, I would not worry too much. They'd like to go in the corner of their box and kick away all the bedding to make a cozy little "nook". Makes for some strong leg muscles, lol.

It is only my impression, which may be off, but with the Ringneck digging it seemed more like a hiding mechanism, then the Greys who will also scratch in the corner of cages while on a grate. I have never personally seen that in a Ringneck. I remember reading somewhere that Ringnecks do spend some time foraging on the ground too, so maybe this behavior is a combination of hiding and scratching instinct.
