Every Indian Ringneck that I've ever handfed has done the same, I would not worry too much. They'd like to go in the corner of their box and kick away all the bedding to make a cozy little "nook". Makes for some strong leg muscles, lol.
It is only my impression, which may be off, but with the Ringneck digging it seemed more like a hiding mechanism, then the Greys who will also scratch in the corner of cages while on a grate. I have never personally seen that in a Ringneck. I remember reading somewhere that Ringnecks do spend some time foraging on the ground too, so maybe this behavior is a combination of hiding and scratching instinct.
